4years ago, i was almost bitter inside. i longed for manymany things. i envied people.
4years later, i’m rather joyful. God has blessed me indeed with both direct blessings & indirect blessings. i know now that i’ve found Him. & He’s one person that i’ll never let go.

Narnia – Faith

if i had another word for Narnia: Prince Caspian, it would be faith.

one word for the movie: AWESOME.

What really really really amazed me was the hidden meaning behind the whole movie. seriously, i didn’t really expect to get anything that spiritual out of this movie, since i didn’t think there was anything much about it. just that alot of fighting. well, i though the 1st movie was great & i really wanted to go see the 2nd one but i really didn’t expect myself to come out of it feeling so refreshed & just.. amazed.

hmm but before i go into that part, i would like to say that the cast was really awesome charis just fell for the mouse (MOUSE, NOT RAT), diane fell for Aslan & the prettty handsome prince, i thought that peter was getting all the more hotter while edmund was becoming pretty good (okay i also just really enjoyed his character this time round), susan was just really prettty & prince caspian was really good too! ((((: & Lucy, amazed me beyond words. as for teng uhhh i don’t know how she felt for anyone cus i wasn’t sitting beside her hahhaa.  okay for me i really thought that everyone was good, in their own special way haha (:

okok! sooo. i wouldn’t really go into the plot of the movie but basically, alot of the old narnians kinda lost a wee bit of faith in Aslan (the lion, which is just a representation of God) & so did Peter. however lucy was still the one who really believed that Aslan was there & that the one who really could win the battle was not them, but Aslan.

Lucy: remember that he was the one who really killed the white witch?
Peter: well, we can’t depend on him anymore, he’s not here is he? we’ve gotta do it ourselves

& what happened? the lost that battle they went into. yes it just reminds me of the israelites who sometimes just think that they could do it themselves & they could just do without God. & they lost it. & it just reminds me of ourselves. living in this modern day & time. how sometimes we are so stubborn to admit that we do need His help. till we fall so hard, then do we surrender everything to Him.

*Lucy claimed that she saw Aslan while the rest didn’t see him

Peter: well, why didn’t i see him?
Lucy: maybe, you just weren’t looking

how true. sometimes we look so much at ourselves we fail to look at Him instead. we cry & think & say out loud “God, where are you? why are you not here?” & you know what dear friends? maybe, we need to seek Him out. & then, we’ll find out that He’s been there all along. just right there. we need to put down our pride, our jugdements for His glory & wisdom. only then, can we really experience God.

*when Lucy found Aslan

Aslan: why didn’t you just come & find me? even when the rest didn’t believe so?
Lucy: well… i guess i was a bit afraid.

this, really impacted me so much. Lucy was the youngest of them all. & yet she was the strongest of them all. she kept the faith, she continued believing, although fear & fear of rejection did pull her back from really finding Aslan from the very beginning. & God really moved me there & then. on how it really dosent matter whether people back us up or whether we’re so young, because we can do great works for Him if we just believe, have faith & have hope. it really sparked that spark in me all over again. hmm yeaaa.

Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young,  but set an example in for the believers in speech, in life, in love in path & in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12

but yes Lucy really really amazed me. her faith level just made my faith level rise. As for Edmund, i really admire his character now because its so different, & he’s really so ready to change & listen to lucy. & he really was a stronger guy compared to peter at first. peter is someone i too really admire because although in the beginning he really did doubt, & because perhaps he though he was once the high king, whatever he does will be right & will succeed. & he forgot to put Aslan into the picture. which is why the first battle failed terribly. but after he realized what he did was wrong, he really did make an effort to change & yes he was awesome (: & i admire him for coming down to a whole new level & just surrending, & having more faith.

oh yea & how prince caspian was really driven to desperation & full of the sense of failure at one part. the weirdo dwarf brought in medians & yea he almost welcomed the white witch back. it just reminds us on how important it is to be full of Christ, so that the devil will have no way to enter you, or even tempt you. it shows how people without that have fallen away & have come under the hands of the devil. & i for one, really hope that that will never happen to me & in fact i will not let the devil taunt me because i belong to the Lord always. & that my dear friends, is what i dearly hope that you will believe too (:

later on in the 2nd battle, they did win, because Aslan won it for them. which also once again goes to show, the battle is the Lord’s, the victory is ours! the narnians didn’t exactly have to fight till the end with the baddies, because Aslan won it for them. yea, i was pretty happy during that part. (:

thank you so much Lord. the movie was such a great timing. if i watched this any earlier than now i probably wouldn’t get half the messages in it. but God’s timing is so right. i’m so glad i went to watch it. its amazing how He speaks through all sorts of things, including this! faith, is something i’ve been thinking so much about lately & He just showed me so much in just 2hours plus, almost 3hours. & i really can’t help but to type it all out here haha. now it really means alot more than the 1st & so an awesome job done by the directors & cast! brilliant show. i’m really grateful for it!

Lord direct my life, be in charge. i want to surrender everything to you, & have total faith. i want more than a spark, but a flame. i know that i can do great things through You (: Lord you’re just showing me more & more each day, its really amazing! & so what can i do, but to just fall on my knees, sing praises to you, PRAY, & continue to be part of Your great work.

okay i’m still in my wowwwww God you are great! & wow the movie was gooood! mood. hahahaaa i shall go read through all the books & watch the 1st movie again!!!

 

Be Positive

God’s always teaching me everyday to look on the positive side of life. plus, i shouldn’t be complaining. because there are always people so close that can be worse off than yourself.

& so i stop complaining cus i know how annoying it is.

& its good i realize, because it makes me think before i speak, & complaining suddenly dosent become such a daily occurence.

instead, a happier & thankful person comes into shape.

& its through this, where we learn to be more Christ-like.

God has revealed to me that prayer is extremely important. its more important than anything else, because its communicating with Him, talking to Him. what can be more important than talking to our Creator? how would would we know Him if we do not talk to Him, & learn more? (thats where the reading Bible part comes in haha) like what Sandy said, if we just stop all the plans we keepmaking in subministries & just come together to pray, miracles & revival will happen. & of course, we must pray with total faith, total surrender. Don’t be like the Israelites who kept doubting God. because they doubted His power even though He showed them through so many incidents, they were not allowed into the promise land for 40years! shows how important faith is eh.

i remember how when it kept raining & raining when the whole of YM was making their way to pulau ubin & in the ferry Adriel was gathering us & quite a few other youth leaders to pray & the way he prayed was really awesome. like total faith. & i really doubted. like.. God might just want it to continue raining what right? hahaa but yes God just had to prove to me wrong! the very moment we stepped ashore it stopped raining & alottt of people even got sunburned. & then after the whole day of activites & after we got onto the ferry it started to rain like crazzzzzy. like almost storm la. yes i didn’t exactly realize that until Adriel mentioned it again & i was like wowwww. from that day onwards, my faith level just rose & i told myself never to doubt the power of prayer ever again.

hmm God’s showing me quite a lot of stuff this year! thank you thank you (: its been really exciting!

for my chinese Olevel compo i wrote about really wanting to do cip work overseas during holidays! in other words is going for a mission trip! something i really never experienced & i REALLY want to experience it for myself. & just do God’s work of spreading His love (: now thats something i really want to do for the rest of my life.

One of the most beautiful songs i ever heard. first heard was during the MG musical from eve to mary. ah, plenty of precious memories there. from those 1-10pm boring practices, getting stuck in a lift that had the foor 3/4 closed, eating 2830981093packets of tamtam, to seeing mr seow chasing valerie around & around the hall gallery, to getting oh so very annoyed with the choir girls, to running to get the seats before the strings girls take it in audi, to learning the lines of all those acting in the hall & watching all the hilarious bloopers & learning them equally well, to growing to love the musical very much, to trusting God, to bonding as a performing group. it was an awesome time, although we played a small part, God definately had a bigger plan than just us performing for the sake of performing! (:

hmm now i’m listening to Mary did you know?. haha yeah. besides this Michael Card’s songs are nice! He’s the one who wrote Love Crucified Arose. yay.

singing songs & thinking about life with God in it makes me smile. makes me appreciate how much God has done. sometimes we need to realize & consider the little things in life & then maybe, just maybe, we can see the bigger picture He has for us oh so much clearer. i am really excited (: for everything. i know my God WILL provide! i know, because since when has He not? think about it, haha.

sometimes, i feel like i can really just fall on my knees (even if i’m sitting down!) & just, praise Him. stop whatever i’m doing & just do that. yeah. unspeakable joy as i said, is what keeps me happy. unspeakable joy i am sure, comes from the Holy spirit in me.

God is so good, He has just sparked off the determination & perseverance in me for the movement. i know we can do this yeahhh!!! (:

i’m excited for the 2nd core meeting. i wonder what God has in store for us! & its awesome that now david, gabriel & chris are joining us. hahah yay (: the 1st time we officially met was like urm, swim meet that day? haha yep (: haha its funny cus it seems to be all guys. thats mainly because the ratio of girls to guys in my small group is like 1:3? hahh yes.

Spiritual Warfare

i’m sure this can work, i’m 100% positive. why? because My God’s so big & strong & mighty & everything’s possible through Him, with Him, for Him! shoooo devil, who are you to destroy our work, us?

dear friends, let us claim on the promise that God has given unto us! (: that WE ARE VICTORIOUS IN EVERYTHING WE DO. the battle’s the Lord’s, the victory’s ours!

God gives great assurance. otherwise, i wouldnt be feeling that happy right now.

thank You Lord. thank You for everything, for the wonderful friends i have, for the opportunities You’ve given me. i pray that i will make full use of each & every single opportunity! yes, to be a tool of God requires much moulding, much practice. i just pray that He’ll grant each & everyone of us the spirit of perseverance.

today a thought came unto me: without Faith, God can do nothing with you, for you.

like what Adriel said. first you have faith, then you surrender, then do you get to experience God. its true, oh so true.

MG needs revival, MG’S GOING TO HAVE REVIVAL. just like YM is going to have (that i can feel strongly!) so is mg, so is the movement. with God, all things is possible. its time for Mg to go back fully to God. not just 1/8 of the population. He has a greater vision for the school, He has a greater vision for the 6 of us. i believe that is going to happen, if we seek Him, if we have faith. we’re going to have faith uprising in the school. its not something thats going to happen overnight. if revival happens in just one night, if evangelizing happens in one night, then our lives would be a lot shorter right? afterall, we live to spread His love, we live to praise His name, till our work is done, then do we return to heaven.
